    Hi all,

Doing an oil change on my 2016 Tacoma Trd off road and noticed what seemed to be an oil leak off the passenger side of the motor. Does anyone recognize what this could be from? Or a common issue that I am not aware of.

    Truck has under 30k miles.

Looks like your belt is about to grenade. Are any of your idler pulleys locked up?

What's all that trash all over the second pic? Could be an illusion to me but it looks like belt dust.

Yes, belt seems to be in good condition to me. No issues otherwise... only noticed a leak because I was down there, I check my oil level often and wasn’t low.

Welcome to the timing chain cover leak club. Common on 2016's for sure.

Already in the dealership and they confirmed leaking timing cover. They will be fixing it all under factory warranty, said it could take multiple days. Thanks all so much for the help.

Just came back from dealer. I have the same problem in my 2016. They charge $3500 for labor, and the material cost ...........$120.
    Unbelievable!!!!!!
Off course, no warranty on this one.
