Hi all, I've searched the forum quite a bit now and cant seem to find an answer. So i'm bringing it to the GURUS. Noticed while im driving or a quick right turn, the gasoline seems to shut off, I let go of the pedal and depress it again and it's fine. Its happening alot now these past few days. Anyone have an idea what it might be? (no check engine lights on or come on when it happens)

Possibly clogged fuel filter or fuel pump going out? It is located on the right side of the gas tank which would make sense why your vehicle shuts off only on right turns.

There’s no fuel filter other that the one located on the fuel pump inside the tank.

So I have to go into the tank regardless, no way around that?

correct. if you are going that deep may as well grab a URD fuel pump upgrade and replace the fuel pump and get an external filter setup at the same time. This is my plan around 100k miles which is coming up soon. a DW pump / kit from them.

This is what baffles me, I read that it should be done at or around 100K but mine is just over 84k. Do it anyway just to "filter' out the problems. Haa see what I did there?

Yup thats it! I was going to opt for the Deatschwrks 255 pump as its E85 compatible and aparently quieter than the walbro 255 (not that id run E85, but extra ethanol protection is good in my book with lovely CA gas).

and then i was also going to run a plastic flexible hose for pump to housing like stock rather than the submersible rubber line

Lightly push the brake pedal with your left foot while driving and see if it does the same thing.

Are you sure you have enough oil in the engine? Oil sloshes away from the oil pump intake when turning, sending unit sees low oil pressure and cut out the engine

I can adjust the switch, what I don't understand is how does that lead to gasoline cutting out.

It's Toyota's answer to "unintended acceleration". Ever since the guy killed his family because the throttle stuck and he was too stupid to put the trans in neutral, Toyota fixed it so that if you're on the brakes, it cuts the throttle.

I get that but it still doesn't explain why it does it when just driving normally without using the brakes. Comes and goes.

The switch is adjusted right on the edge of closed/open. When you go around a corner, the slop in the brake pedal causes the brake pedal to swing and the switch closes.
