I am getting the 2.8 as I am not looking for a great amount of power gains and do extra work.

Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
I think, from lots of reading, if you are doing anything beyond the S/C, it is a need.
The URD kit is a no brainer for what you seem to be interested in. Plus you'll have a serviceable fuel filter outside of the tank. The walbro and DW are known to be reliable, the DW runs quieter.
I installed the kit by myself, in the driveway with basic hand tools.
Even if you are not maxing out the stock pump, you will feel a difference.
Plus bonus points for more race truck parts.

Where did you guys mount the fuel filter?

DW is $5, seems to be the better buy if it runs quieter.

No I know the size.....but did you have to give him other measurements for offset and whatnot?

The OE fuel pump in the newer gen 2nd gens are undoubtedly crap. The older 2nd gens.. who knows. They are capable of powering maybe a Honda 2.4L 4 cylinder, but a 300HP supercharged Tacoma? No way. Do yourself a favor, and upgrade the fuel pump for your own peace of mind, save the engine, and also save yourself a really upsetting day from being stranded because the truck died out on you while at a stop light.

I’ve spent the last couple days reading up on superchargers on this thread, but I haven’t gotten through all 726 pages…

I’ve seen a lot of requests for dyno numbers. And I’m willing to be a guinea pig. Right now I’ve got the TRD supercharger, and nothing else. So I’m thinking first a baseline as it sits now, then after the fun. But y’all gotta help me figure out what to do…

    So far my plans are:
    MPVI2 (With JustDSM tune)
    650cc injectors
    Qwikchange pulley kit with 2.8
    URD fuel pump upgrade
    Do I need an intake?

What else do I need? I’d like to keep the truck reliable… I’m driving from Texas to Alaska and back late summer and I’d like to take the Taco.

Yes you need an intake. They are an absolute bottleneck to the system and will restrict you at least 1 full psi at WOT. URD or AFe are the best ones for those with pulleys larger then 2.5" we are currently in beta stages of attempting to retrofit a Tundra 5.7 intake into ours in order to obtain higher MAF output readings, but you wont need that.

There's some good dyno sheet here albeit for mostly ucon modfied ECU's with similar changes: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/1gr-fe-f-i-mods-and-dynos.465243/

I have the old AFE. Get the dry filter. Oiled ones mess with the MAF sensor. With the HP Tuner I now know 42.83 lb/min is the max of our MAF. Hit it this am logging. AFE will flow some air.

Do the new ones come oiled? I haven't had any issues.

Mine came with both oiled and dry. I’d avoid the oiled.

The expenses are definitely adding up. But I'm more concerned about installing everything. Do yall install all this yourselves? I'm fairly decent at following instructions, but I havent done much like this.

The intake? It’s not bad at all. Mine came with pretty easy to follow instructions.

I'm comfortable with the intake. Less so with the pulley, injectors, and I forgot the 3 degree cam gears in my earlier post.
