I think the only redemption is sending my truck off some sweet jumps at ardbeg.

Forgive me tacos for I have sinned.

I crawled under my truck and tried to change my front diff oil, this is what the fill and drain plug looked like they are both stripped and rusted. What should I do to get them out?

Mix 1 part atf with 1 part acetone and keep soaking them for at least a couple of days. Order new ones and use a screw extractor and a bolt extractor. May God be with you.

Thank you, I will give it a try.

For some reason all my 24mm plugs are too small for my 24 mm socket slightly and too large for my 23mm do I need the imperial 15/16 do you think?

I’ve used a propane torch with good results getting out rusted bolts. The torch doesn’t get things too hot but usually enough. Spray it first with WD40 or some penetrating oil and let it soak. Then heat the bolt up evenly for a few minutes with the torch, give it a couple assertive taps with a hammer while hot to break the rust. If the bolt has enough of the head remaining you might be able to then turn it with vise grips. Worked great for removing stripped out Torx.

The plugs are nominally 24mm. Previous owner could've stripped them, or they've withered away due to rust. Yeah try a 15/16" 6-point socket. Might have to hammer it on.

Use something like Seafoam Deep Creep for a couple of days prior (as mentioned). You can use a hammer and chisel (or center punch) to loosen it. notch the side and tap counter clockwise. I've removed completely rounded nuts and bolts this way.

I was way to cheap to spend that much on a garbage bag. I went the army surplus route.
