OK is 25%... issue is other states you may visit or drive through. My son had 20% (legal in NM), and drove through AZ (33% front max)... cost him a fine, even with NM tags when stopped by state trooper. Reason for stop on interstate highway, too dark of tint on windows (trooper noticed as he passed son’s car on hwy).

Hmm, not finding that cop has authority for that. I drive through and in New Hampshire all the time, I'm from Maine, and tint is illegal in New Hampshire, and never had a single issue.

Don’t know what to tell ya, LE has a responsibility to enforce established law... I was with him, and I’m former law enforcement (not a trooper however, rather federal agent). The trooper wouldn’t even honor “professional courtesy” since it wasn’t my car and I wasn’t driving... (he must of been having a bad day).

Keep it stock. The factory tint on your truck looks good. Here are some stories about people having to tear off their tint while the trooper sits in her/his car:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/poll-visor-tint-yay-or-nay.576880/page-3
Also, you can see better, especially at night, and bikers and pedestrians can better gauge your intentions in traffic and in parking lots.

Had the same happen to me when I was driving through IOWA. Trooper was going opposite direction. Picked on me because I know was speeding over the speed limit by a good amount. Anyways gave me a tint ticket for illegal tint per IOWA state laws even though I resides in TN. Didn’t fight it just paid the fine because I got off lucky.

To stay on topic here’s mine with 5% over the back privacy glass and 15% on fronts. Will probably have the fronts redone to 5%. I have a chipped windshield otherwise I would have done that in 50% or 70% ceramic.

PA window tint is not an inspection item. However you can get a ticket for it. I believe it is 70% on the front windows, so basically nothing. I did 35% all the way around on mine.

I had my 2nd gen tinted 20 on the doors and 50 on the windshield. Never once got pulled over. Buddies had just 20 on the doors and got sooo many tickets he finally pulled it off his wrx. I think a lot of it depends on what part of pa and how ya drive.

When I get a ticket for tint I will pay it and be on my way. Doesn’t go on your record and it’s cheaper then retinting. Luckily South Carolina is super lax on tint laws.

In nh, Nothing in front of the b pillars at all except 35% on the top 6 inches of the windshield. And only 35% on the rears. And unfortunately they're pretty strict on it and with a yearly inspection, it just sucks.

I used Llumar's formula one pinnacle 30% front doors, 5% on all the rear windows and llumar air blue 80% on the whole windshield. Choose a high quality ceramic film with a lifetime transferrable warranty from a certified installer. The high end films nowadays have higher TSER's and IR rejection in light stuff like 60% more so than cheaper films advertise in their limo tint. Here a crummy pic of mine.

 I know, I know. I had actually take the pic a few minutes before because my buddy is debating getting his windshield tinted and I was showing him that it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. He is worried about getting pulled over.

Anyways, is this better? :D One on a cloudy day and one on a sunny day.

I'm really excited! Finally going in for window tint tomorrow. I live in a very hot part of Northern California, so I've decided to go with 70% 3M Crystalline all the way around, including the windshield. I'm not going for privacy so much as I need the heat rejection aspect. I may still decide on doing 50% on the rear windows when I get there though lol.
