The headlight install looks more involved. I hope to order and install soon.

Just plug and play. It’s as easy as taking the old lights out and putting the new ones in. Totally worth it

Not hard at all. Just take your time. The hardest part is separating the corner of the fenders. Otherwise it is cake. Watch videos a couple of times before you start. My biggest issue was a clip holding the fender flare rotated and was hard to figure out. Once I saw it had spun it was an easy fix. Def worth it. I probably spent an hour on it. I have the older ones that required splicing the LED harness. Now you can get them completely pre-wired and 100% plug and play. Worth the extra cost in my opinion. Either way the end result is awesome.

    Thank you!
The 4 door uses the holes already provided for the OEM rack. As for the weather stripping I cut out full 1-2" section of the weather stripping. May order a new set and try to bore the holes out again, but honestly that was a pain in the ass. That's why I ended up cutting the weather stripping.

How’s the picture quality compared to the factory rear camera?

Baja Designs. I would hold off buying them. They are too bright for daily on road use. They are designing and testing a better version that are dot approved. Mine are not particularly legal for street use. Off road or country roads use is fine.

I’ve been comparing tons of pics on the google and I have to admit...Amber does look better on black to me. It certainly grabs your attention quicker.

I gotcha. Yeah I was talking about the weather stripping. I’ve seen some that people used a punch for the holes. My luck I’d jack it all up. Lol

I’ve thought about just cutting sections like you did, which it probably the route I will end up taking. How secure were the weather strip pieces when you reinstalled them?

I’ve heard of some just leaving the weather stripping out all together..

    Too many decisions lol.

    Thanks for the info

Well I just got home from working 22 days in the Gulf Of Mexico on a floating oil platform. It was supposed to be 14 days, but my relief hurt his back and I had to work over. No problem b/c they paid me a whole week of overtime. Nice to get an extra 84 hrs at that rate. I had an appointment to have my leather installed a week ago but obviously couldn’t make it. The shop was nice enough to get me in tomorrow. Can’t wait to drop it off and get the next phase of my build moving. Really looking forward to getting rid of the cloth and having more durable leather. Plus, I find I looks better. I’ll post some pictures once it’s installed.

What inserts are you speaking of? New to this Tacoma stuff. I do want to get the black inlay for the tailgate and possibly the blackout kit to go over the chrome Tacoma badge but that will just open a can of worms because I have the chrome on the grille, the chrome in the headlights, chrome V6 badge and the chrome on the side view mirrors.
