I did this awhile back, works very well. I am planning to use a video switch so I can toggle between the rear tailgate view and the rear behind my trailer view with this when Im towing also. Will update when that’s been tested here too.

I just did the same and also used the Natika camera. Question I have is what wire on the camera do I need to snip? Right now if I go in reverse my backup comes on as normal but when I shift to drive it will go to the front camera until i hit the mode button to shut it off. How do I make it so it only comes on when i double tap the mode button?

Just finished with the ECT always on module and this system is next on my list of things to do. Hate pulling into a spot only to get out and realize i’m A block away from the car parked in front of me. I learned early on to blame it on the wife so it’s tolerable.

Something to add to the list I guess. I'll watch the video when I get home from work. Didn't know I needed this, but going from a 370z to this truck has made parking am adventure.

Damg I would have invited you over had I saw this earlier. I’m only about 8-10 min from HB. I did mine yesterday and it was fairly simple, took about an hour with the learning curb. I can probably do it again inside 30 min now.

So I ended up mouthing the cam in the same location and seam to work fine with the TSS sensor just below it. I also saw a few others mount it that way as well.

Is this install generally for the purpose of parking your truck?

Not at the moment and the truck is at the installer for some new kings. But it’s just directly above the sensor in the middle. Same spot where those who don’t have the sensor mounts them.

That isn’t possible. You either have to hit the mode button or wait 30 seconds.

Damn. Kind of annoying but not too big of a deal I guess. I think I should at least cut the white wire though correct? Is that the wire that lets it know its a front camera?

Hi there! Thanks for the video and demo! Just wanted to ask, did you ever try to program the module so the camera would turn on automatically at low speeds?

I am highly interested in getting a front cam for my rig. Subbing to absorb as much info as possible. If only I had the patience to wait for the 2020 models that have OEM options from the get go...
