The shock doesn't provide the lift, the coils do. If you're using the same coils as before the 5100's then no, they're already settled.

Dobinson’s coils and shocks. SOS sliders, ditch light brackets, and front skid. Rigid ditch lights. BFG KO(dos) More minor stuff.
What is on the back of your seat?

Oh the excitement...thanks to Erick over at @state48overland for all the knowledge and advice. Not my first lift but there are always lessons learned and he shared his and some recommendations based on my expectations. Most of the time you order your parts and only chat via email. Erick delivered my king shocks to me personally and checked out my truck as well as showing me his rig. Solid outfit. If you live in Arizona, you should buy from these guys. Keep it local gents.9BE0527D-BD41-466D-9114-C59676489CCE.jpg

Another update on my diy road shower.

It functions as it should to heat the water.

Filled it up yesterday evening with hose water. It went down into the low 50*s over night.

It sat outside all day today. It was partly cloudy and in the mid 60*s.

I checked it around 8pm this evening.

    Air temp was

    The water temp was

More than warm enough for a quick rinse.

    Solar energy is neat.

Zip tied my clock and heater controls to the dash so I can drive with the radio surround not installed.
Picture is of the radio connectors my truck currently has. I replaced the 20 pin connector (part # 90980-12460), it was chewed up a little.
I cleaned that up last night and thought I could just replace the 20 pin with the new 28 pin, I can't as the terminals are different. Now that it's fixed and know where I can run new wires (11 of them) and do a better write-up.

I'm also looking for a small portable soldering iron so I can lengthen the wires.

Blown rear shock (5100 with only 10K miles) messed up my vacation plans. Used the free time yesterday (on vacation this week) to do a full clay bar.

New rear shocks (OME Nitrocharger Sport) are arriving today.
