Strange. I don’t seem to have a high pressure fuel pump computer.

    You chose...poorly.

Trust me keep San Diego and Long Beach.

    Jefferson... meh.

I don’t want any of it, personally. Which is why I moved away.

I agree with what your saying but both of those parameters are common sense.
Water ford depth will depend on what you want to protect. If you care about the interior, the bottom of the door.
Engine, lowest point of the air box.
Don’t forget axle, transmission and transfer case vents.
Then you have to take into account speed. Fording water is always a risky thing. Driver takes the responsibility, period.
The lawyers will never allow Toyota to publish those numbers.
In the end Toyota (and other manufacturers) expect the owners to use their head. Or off road at your own risk/expense.

Personally I’ll take my truck “off road” and have but it’s not a Can Am side by side or a 25 year old 4X4 that I’m going to do stupid shit in.

The warranty isn’t there to protect people from stupid. That’s what insurance is for.

    Edit
The more I think about this he should be thankful Toyota fixed his truck under warranty.
And how does this asshat thank them?
With a web page letting everyone know how much of a bitch he his....
Dumbass, even his wife is embarrassed

This. Toyota isn’t selling water balloons to kids. Everything is carefully thought over with the intent to protect them from being liable for someone’s dipshit moment. I don’t blame them.

I dont want to say what I've put my 16' OR through at Windrock TN or muddy Pisgah backroads during recent floods because the dealer offers me a good trade in on a new '19 just when I want to upgrade to a DCLB.
BUUUTTTT that guy is so mad he buys a domain name and put what? probably put a days work into this site rather than just calling to consult a lawyer that would have charged 90$ or the better business bureau for free? or the UL? or who the hell knows who else would take a case he presents so cut and dry?

I am not saying he hasn't got valid complaints but this community would be the data pool that says this isn't typical. This method of being a squeeky wheel is suspicious in our consumer based society.

I’m pretty sure launching a website to smear Toyota, over something that is likely a personal mistake, makes the author of the original article the KING of ALL TROLLs.

Just sayin’........I don’t think it was ever about knowledge and the truth. It was just about entitlement and free repairs, or something like that.

Hahaha wow this response is gold.

Mother fuckers engine broke going up an incline, crossing a creek and that’s abuse? Hilarious.

Seriously you don’t take issue with a sedan motor not getting oil up a certain incline degree? Seriously?

I don't get what you guy's don't get about car engine vs truck engine.

When designing an engine for a Lexus car, would you think about the vehicle being at 35* angles? Hell no, if a Lexus car is at a 35* angle you have bigger problems.
Now, if your designing an engine for a truck that's capable of climbing 35* plus hills you should probably consider how it's going to drain the oil back into the oil pan.

Toyota skipped the designing an engine for the application and threw an engine designed for a car in the 3rd gens.
which is not a bad thing for 99.9% of people that will buy one and never take it up a 35* hill

The whole thing smells of scam. Do a Whois on the domain and it’s masked. I but it’s a reverse marketing site for a competitor who purposely staged the adverse conditions in a systematic way.
