I want one but when you start looking at it you can damn near build a real road legal offroad truck for the same price as a new one..

Man that’s confusing. Even though it refers to length it means width?!

I know. It would be nice to have one day.

Yes I agree but at the end of the day you can drive your truck home with the SBS on the trailer. if it brakes I can still get to work on Monday.

Ouch! I've been lucky over the years, crashed both dirt and street but have avoided serious injury. Probably because they were all at low speeds.

Doesn't sound familiar but must have been a great spot. As a kid I learned to ride on an old 70's Sears minibike in my back yard, that thing was sketchy to say the least. I'd love to ride one of these bad boys:

They were everywhere in Arizona. Lost count of how many people were driving rented ones around and every RV seemed to have one in tow. Badass suspension setups on some of them.

Which is my biggest draw to one tbh. I definitely won't drive a 4wheeler through some of the shit I like to do because I'll die.

I did the opposite I hit a 100 foot triple on my quad, and way overshot it. At 35-40 ft up bailing is a hard choice. I rode it out, and landed on the front bumper. The quad ended up doing a flip and landing with the grab bar in the middle of my back crushing 2 vertebrae. So that was the last time I did anything crazy on a quad. My 4x4 is a 98 big bear and tops out at 35. Great for hauling deer and plowing snow, but it isn't fun to ride at all. I would like to upgrade at some point, but it works for now.

When I was 19 I shattered my right leg not related to riding. And that ended my hardcore dirt riding. After that I started to ride street much smoother. My leg couldn't take the abuse of riding dirt. Ended up selling my quads and dirt bikes. But I'm missing the trail riding I use to do.

That is why I am building the truck. I miss the trail riding, and wheeling is the same, but slower pace and more technical. Although, I have little experience actually wheeling. Went once with some built jeeps, and realized I was lucky to escape with the little damage I had. I am only missing the HC rear and I will have full armor and the confidence that start making it a more regular thing. That and I have alternative means of travel, so I don't have to fix it by Monday morning!
