ECT Stealth PRO shift knob

Ebay has the best deals on the shift knobs or at least it did before Meso put out the switches lol

 

Then that awkward clenched buttcheek walk to get a roll or the text of shame to the wife

yay! got one!

 

So just added a 2 USB port for the removed ECT dash switch,
fits good and it seems to work, i pulled power from the 12v power outlet to run it . on and off with the engine (and acc)

I pulled off the rubber boots for now
I also have the 2nd switch tied into my hood scoop LED bar
so it looks like i solved the empty hole problem.. so far the ECT mod has worked good . Thanks MESO

I would like to know is how to keep constant power to the USB port so when my truck is turned off I can still charge my phone and iPod ?

Option 2: Remove CIG fuse in fuse box, tap a constant fuse and jump over into the CIG fuse location

 

Safest way for the plug i added is to run power from the battery into the cab , There are always "hot" in the dash, you just need to hunt them down but it is safer to run your own and have a fuse near the battery

 

@MESO any luck with that box of V1 maps you spoke about last week?

 

@MESO My DIY is arriving tomorrow. Is there a complete install video showing how and where to run the cables from the knob?

In other news, I was able to turn on my front camera with the second switch, this time without blowing a fuse.

I actually ended up cutting off my heat shrink I used and pushed the connectors into the white plastic of the shift knob like one of the photos shows (thanks for the visual on that @kjhadfield). Has been working perfectly for a week and I don't have to worry about messing with it if I ever have to remove the shift knob.

Thanks for linking the post and glad it helped out. I was actually able to get both connectors the fit in there horizontally but it was harder to take the picture and see. I haven’t had any issues with it and like you said you can remove the knob without the hassle of heat shrink or trying to fish the connectors back up the collar

 

Any plans on a new batch of complete knobs?

 

Any eta on when more stage 1 diy kits will be available?

 

I saw that someone managed to get their front camera on the second switch and I am wondering your set up on that and how you did it ? Or if someone can tell me what number post it is that he posted it. I do not feel like going through the last 10+ pages to find it
