So, I seem to have had all questions answered and or helped on this forum so ill throw another out there. I know it would be hard to diagnose without actually hearing it or feeling it but I recently did a lift on the truck, Fox 2.5 front coils with TC Upper control arms. Had the alignment done, felt great got the numbers I wanted and all was peachy. Until about a week ago, I was hearing this clunk in the front and kind of ignored it. It wasn't very prominent until the past couple days, it gotten louder. When I hit a bump with the front passenger tire it sounds like there is something loose or broken. Just clunks, I can feel it in the pedal and its hard to tell if I can feel it in the steering wheel thanks to the steering wheel clunk that is so common in these trucks. I got under there and was putting a wrench on everything I could find, sway bar, Upper control arm bolts, lower control arm bolts, shock mounts, I even tightened the body mount bolts because I read on here somewhere that someone found those to be loose and needed replacing. I am STUMPED, I cannot figure this out. I would REALLY appreciate any input that anyone has as to where to go from here and what I can possibly do next. THANKS!!!!!

    Sorry about the issue

How much pre-load are you running? Can you post a few pics of your system?

Not really sure what the preload is set at. I just pretty much took the coils put them on and cranked them up till I got my desired ride height. I think it was no more than 2.75” or so inches..? I am on vacation this week, as soon as I get home I’ll snap some pics of the front setup. Thanks so much for the reply!

Did you get an alignment done afterward? Could be loose cam bolts if the shop didn't torque them right

Cam bolts can still be too loose and clunking even if the alignment was good

The cam bolts are just the bolts on the LCA that have the hash marks in them? Is there specific torque I am looking for or just the old German torque.?

Is it possible, tie rod end..? I noticed the inner tie rod end boot has some saturation on the lower part of the boot... Any way to tell if that’s it.? Or would I just be replacing it to find out.?

But the sound is coming from the passenger side..? Do people replace the bearing on the passenger side as well or just generally the needle bearing?

Doubt it's your needle bearing, it's typical failure symptoms are vibrations ( I haven't heard reports of clunking.. )to test your needle bearing: put your truck in 4wd and if the vibration goes away, youve got a bad n bearing.. Also ,I'd like to explain how my bushing replacement went but I'm still waiting on shipment.

This might not apply to you but after my lift I had a similar issue, any little bump I go a clunky noise and I just tried to re tighten everything, it Ended up being a slightly loose bolt on the sway bar. I would just take some time and make sure you hit every little bolt with a wrench

This is your cheapest option to start with! Definitely start with that assuming you haven't already

Thanks so much! Looks like I’ll go over everything with a fine tooth comb again.. then start replacing bushings...

Let me know what you find. I have a driver’s side clunk and I’m stumped myself.
