My 2002 Taco has the typical Toyota white that has faded. I was thinking about getting a new hood, (lots of rock blemishes) and getting the truck repainted. Any suggestions as to the best paint to use?

Sounds like you have the "Super White 040" paint.

I just did some repainting on one of my trucks (amateur). I did buy my paint from an automotive paint supply house, but I always tell them I don't want to spend a fortune. The guys there seem pretty honest. They have sold me Nason brand (base coat/clear coat) the last two times I bought paint. They say it's good quality and low-mid price range. I painted my roof, hood, one fr fender, and an ARE bed cover and still had a little left over. I bought 2 qts each base/clear.
I have been very happy with results.
