I mounted mine this weekend too. I haven't hooked up the power to the front camera yet, I had to stop by Pep Boys to pick up a "Add a Fuse", which I did last night, so I should be able to finish the installment sometime this week.

At least the rear camera is working as expected. And there aren't anything else out of place, so I must have been successful! :fingerscrossed:

The hardest two parts for me was taking the front camera cord forward into the cab. After making the hole it was a PIA to get that cord through (trying to find the hole from the engine side, even though I could see it from the inside...which is what I should have done, pushed it through from the inside! :annoyed:). Also I mounted the camera switch on the leftside after purchasing a switch replacement piece for that useless little tray on that side. So getting the wires over to the leftside required me to add to the green wire and then zip tie it to the two wires coming from the larger connector.

Once I get the front camera power hooked up, I'll be in business! :yay:

    Haha. :)

Did you use the system from post 1 on this thread, which hasn’t been sold for sometime, or www.anytimebackupcamera.com, or the one that uses steering wheel controls? The brains of the device is what I mean, which company.

I finished hooking up the power to the front camera, IT WORKS! :dancingbacon::broccoli::bananadance:

One question though... The front camera that comes with the kit, is it supposed to have the lines or not?

I installed my full kit in about 4hrs. Just take your time on the wiring and make it clean.

There is an unused plug grommet on the driver side firewall about 3/4", you can cut the plug out of the middle of the grommet and then send the wires through.

Used an add a fuse in the engine compartment fuse box. Cut a little notch
so the fuse cover would close.

With the new kit you shouldn’t require the add—a-fuse.

Okay, got a note from them, the front camera does NOT have the lines. So I just might have to look into buying a new front camera later, that has the lines!

I cannot say for sure, but based on how you mount these, drilling a hole, and jamming that metal up there then wiring right behind the logo is pretty likely do mess with your radar. Your radar may eventually stop seeing it as an obstacle, but i would certainly not sacrifice the usability of a badass feature like smart cruise, when you could just tuck and mount a camera below the logo. I really like the idea though.
