Anyone got an exaust reroute done on a 3rd gen? Got any pics? I'm taking mine to a muffler shop soon to see what all is involved and what it will cost.

Why would you do that? Most people just chop the tailpipe if it becomes an issue.

I want it done so I bolt a skid plate to my crossmember. The newer Tacos exhaust hangs 2" below the cross member from the factory.

To add transfer case skid that doesn’t hang 2” below the other skids.

I did mine. Went to a muffler shop (Recommended by a TW member), cost me $100 and took them an hour.

A shop near me quoted me around a hundred to reroute above the cross member. I remember seeing someone post pics here of a reroute, but can't seem to find it anywhere.

Plus, I want to get rid of those 2 black bars in front of the crossmember. Those will get in the way of my skid plates as well. I assume those bars are there to protect that low-hanging exhaust.

    Too few to list.
This is what you want though I am unsure if he's doing 3rd Gens yet.

For boosted applications sure, otherwise a regular reroute will suffice.

My reroute and full skid trilogy.

    Simple and cheap.

    3rd gens will be similar.

Finally got my exhaust rerouted today! 45 minutes later and $75 less! Oxford Muffler in Oxford, Alabama. Anthony did a great job and even let me in the shop to watch the whole reroute! Time to find some skids now.
