That's a hard thing to say for Alcans without testing them both on the same spring. The Hh will be about equivalent droop without the lift, or forcing the spring more negative arch during max bump travel. The Hh are definitely better for weight and ride quality. Either Hh or shackle flip are better than stock for the ultra long Alcans.

So the Hh won’t give any lift?

So just out of curiosity is there a YouTube video or more detailed installation instructions floating out there? I’m a planner and unfortunately not much of a grease monkey. I fully plan on doing this myself and am excited to do so but just curious if I can get my hands on a little more info to hopefully cut down on any surprises.

Also what’s the ETA for someone that knows what they’re doing? That way I know to triple it for my own estimate. Lol

The instructions that Eric sends with the are good! It took me about 3-3.5 hours to do the HH portion of my install

lots of anecdotal information, happy accidents and such on this thread. I can't imagine how you would need more than the instructions and a good read of this thread. it's not involved... just takes time and determination to get the rivets out...that has been discussed ad nauseum here. :)

Thank you, I got pushed into a new storefront by GoDaddy, and the nice reviews I have received need to be reassigned to the new URLs, but more reviews help people decide

Anyone got the torque spec for the shackles off the top of their head? I can't remember what I torqued them to last. Gonna be adding a leaf to my little dakar leafs tomorrow and will probably just remove the whole pack just to make it easier.

I wanna say it was in the range of 50-60 ft-lbs right? I know they tend to bind if over-torqued.

Shackle bolts? I tightened those things VERY tight. 3 Ugga dugga’s IIRC. Better to be nice and snug then a little loose.

Ahh there's the pretty diagram I was looking for. Damn, I was way off, glad I asked. And yes, I really do need to get a service manual, just so I have the info in one place. Thanks a bunch gents :hattip:

    Love playing with these hangers.
