Did a few things this weekend:
Finally ran the wire for my light bar
Put a little adhesive velvet on the contact points where the A pillar hits the dash to address a squeak issue
Blacked out the steering wheel logo- best mod so far, the blinding light reflected off that chrome with the sunroof open would pierce my brain.

Got my 5.29 gears installed. I went with Eastcoast gear supply with pre- built diffs and a ARB airlocker.
Best mod on my list of mods so far.

    Krylon- Satin Black.
Prepped with very fine sandpaper and sprayed on a couple of coats. Had some globbing so I touched up with the sandpaper and applied a couple of more coats. Not perfect but so much better.

    It was last weekend but...

    • ADS 2.5 EXT with resis and adjusters
      • 650lb springs
    • Icon RXT leaf pack option 2
    • DuroBumps U-bolt flip kit and bumpstops
    • JBA high caster UCAs
    • 4” extended rear brake lines

Just breaking her in now. The front needs to come up about 2”. I dropped the coils in straight from the box.

Today I re-torqued the rear, I’ll hit the front later this week when I adjust the coils

Tested out my slumberjack roadhouse tarp in the single pole setup. It worked great and set up quickly. It added a HUGE covered area to the back of the truck while camping in the flat tops. Dotsero CO

    Nice!

Just out of curiosity, what kind of gas mileage are you getting with 5.29's? Also what kind of rpm are you at @70 mph?

Got a limited in May and negotiated for a blackout kit when I bought it. Dealer installed tailgate inserts and black emblem overlays. Also had them swap the grille and bezel for a black SR5 grille and black SR bezel. All done before I took delivery.

I said all that to say - You may check with your local dealer’s parts department. It seems like every Tacoma on the lot has the blackout package, so they may have the inserts on hand.
