    We evolved form apes. We didnt replace them. Many species in different regions adapt and change to their surroundings. There are many species that have undergone these changes.

    Survival of the fittest. Man has evolved over thousands of years. The apes thrive in their enviroment, and therefore they still exist. Man has evolved into what we are today. The previous versions have died off or been killed off. At one time, there were half man half apes as you call them. But over thousands of years of evolution only the strongest have survived. Man and apes. We both are suited best for our enviroment.
