I know this bumper is for a jeep, but how would it look on a 1st gen? It looks easy to build IMO. Maybe add a small stinger/tip? Any ideas as to how it would look?

I also saw a pic of a yota with one of these on the back end *can't find it now*

Maybe i'll photoshop it up onto my truck later and post it up...

Does anyone have a pic of their taco without a front bumper on? *if not then I guess I'll go rip mine off for a few pics* :D

I've seen many many similar types for the rear, but I cant say I've ever seen that design on the front on a Tacoma. I'm thinking that the design will just be too slim to look good and thats why no one does it.

The factory bumper is about 12" high (I think) to protect the radiator and go all the way up to the grill, so I think placing a 12" slab of steel on the front would look really funny, not to mention what it would do to cooling abilities. It might get you a new nickname of "snow plow" though. Maybe you could get away with a bit of a hybrid, using tubing or something under it to help with the radiator protection.

Your right Manlaan, for the front it would be weird...unless it was some kind of hybrid.

Does anyone know what that kind of steel is called? If I called up a steel company, what would I be asking for?
