What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I finally installed the Meso Customs ECT mod on my Tacoma. Thanks to all who contributed on the thread. It was relatively easy.

whatever you do, dont plasti-dip the tip, I didnt listen when someone in here told me it wouldnt hold up with the heat, mine looks bad now, need to strip it and paint. Noted this paint!!

If you use your truck as a truck, dollar for dollar that’s possibly the best money you’ll spend on your Taco

 

My ARE Overlander shell finally arrived. Ordered it April 14 and it was delivered July 9. Got it installed today, July 12. I wasn’t 100% sure I would like the black on the Overlander when I ordered it, but now that it’s on my truck I like it. It would look even better if I had a black Pro grill. Hmmmm....

Options include:
Windoors with sliding windows
Headliner
Interior light
Fold down front window with slider
Reinforced roof with tracks for roof racks
Yakima roof racks

It all came to $3200, in case anyone wants to know. The options add up, especially the windoors.

Please excuse the dirt. I’m headed to the mountains tomorrow and didn’t see the benefit of washing it today.

 

Installed a tri-fold tonneau cover today.

Good looking truck

 

It’s a long bed. The photo makes it look a bit elongated. It doesn’t look so disproportionately long in person.

 

Wireless car play. Very nice to have car play again. I know it’s small but I really like it. Not gonna complain about android apps or internet surfing either but car play is good to be back.

 

Looks awesome. Do you have a thread?

 

And will pull one of them new Ford Rangers out of the mud.

Installed emblems from the Taco Garage, and removed the Tacoma door emblems.

 

I did mine. Picture shows what I used to prep and paint (steel wool not shown). More them 5000 miles with no chipping.

 

Well i did mention i was gonna install the extended breather, and well - it's in now!
Used more or less the full 10 feet of the 5/16 fuel line hose that this guide recommended, but i opted in for 2x 5/16 fuel injector clamps as they evenly put pressure around the hose (HA! who am i kidding, a 4 pack cost the same as 2 hose clamps)
also the truck has more zip-ties that my computer does now....

total cost is a bit more than i'd hoped for but it is what it is; $30CAD for the union and breather, $35 for the camps and 10' of fuel line hose
