    Thanks OP.

Just ordered one to keep as a spare to use the next time I booger up the drain plug. I've had to chisel off two of them so far.

Not sure, I think just the drain plug. No one seems to have any trouble with the fill plug so I am still using the stock one.

@Tadman95 Thanks for posting back. I was trying to look at the parts diagram and see they have slightly different part numbers.

Marvel mystery oil, PB Blaster, acetone and ATF are not going to do a thing for a drain plug with a crush washer. The penetrating oil is not going to make it past the crush washer. The threads are already submerged in gear oil. The reason a hammer and chisel works is because you are smashing the crush washer thinner, while relieving the tension on the threads and spinning the plug at the same time.

It's adrain plug, torque wrench is not required

Does this use the same crush washer as old one?

After struggling for an hour, took to a local shop to have them take it off. Took them 45 mins. $30. New plug installed. F that original design.

Tip. Try a ratchet and 18 in cheater pipe after lubricant of your choice. Impact strips. Breaker bars have difficulty with the angle.

The best way to get the OE style drain plug out is with an impact gun and impact rated hex bit- the impacting of the gun works so much better than a breaker bar or long handle ratchet. I've torqued mine properly and a few years later have not been able to break it loose with a breaker bar - but the impact zips it right out. I wish I could explain why a plug submerged in gear oil is so hard to remove :)

Simple really. It's hard to remove because there is a massive amount of thread engagement and crush washer contact at a diameter that is too large for the size of the tool hex diameter. Threads of this size normally have torque values well into the 3 digit range.

Does anyone have a different part number for this plug. I checked a Lexus Dealer in Greenville, SC and the number didn't come up. Maybe a vehicle model?

That's the number. I just bought 1 from a Lexus dealer about a month ago. I went to a Toyota dealer 1st, and they couldn't get it. Even though Toyota and Lexus are in bed together, that's a Lexus only part.

Which is weird because my Toyota dealer had oil pan crush washers for my Lexus.
