    Hey fellas,

Joining the party with my quicksand 2019 Tacoma TRD Sport 6MT. This truck has been a blast thus far, but I can never leave good enough alone....

Got this truck to replace my 2004 Colorado that had 253k on it, and to support my 2006 Mazdaspeed6 (built motor, big turbo, methanol fed) when she doesn't want to play.

I have put DDM HIDs, LED fogs, and window visors on but that's about the extent of it. I have had it a little over a month and already see a couple spots where it could be better. From my experience, there is always a short list of first mods that the platform calls for, but I have yet to figure out what those are for the Taco. So what are the primary modifications for this truck?

I have been missing a little bit in terms of throttle response; even from a drive-by-wire vehicle, this is pretty lame. I see throttle boxes for sale but also the occasional review that says the car just wont start one day. I also see intakes and a whole forum worth of people who claim they do nothing at all for you. 2-3% power can't really be pinned down due to variance in dyno/ambient conditions but do they really do nothing for you? Why is the TRD intake a thing then? Do they offer any improvement in throttle response? I do a bit of boat towing and people hauling so any little bit of extra umpf is a great thing.

Lastly, seat covers. Does anyone offer a reasonable solution for waterproof seat covers that are broken up so that you can continue to use the folding rear seats as designed without removing a cover? I have yet to find a set like that.

Anyway, thanks for having me, and I am happy to be here!

Let's try this again... Welcome to TW! It's great to see a fellow quicksand owner running around! I have look at these for a possible upgrade in the future to help protect my seats. They're a little expensive for pleather but the only thing I have found close to what I want. Hope this helps!

Much appreciated! Do you have these on your truck? I picked up some 600 denier covers that were just too reasonable to not try, but my expectations are in check..

Thanks for the warm welcome TW!

I do not. Just another thing planned. I probably won't add seat covers until after I get bumpers and a lift. These things are planned before Thanksgiving. After the holidays I may purchase these covers though. I'm sure there is a thread on Clazzio seat covers somewhere in the forum!
