TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

Can the HP tuner with the pro upgrade accept a signal from the analyzer? I really wanted to run e85, but after doing some research I wouldn't run it without a reliable sensor and an ability to transition to premium if needed. Also, I could only find one fill up station within 200 miles of me, that kinda ruined it for me too.

There is no need for a content analyzer nor is there one which is compatible with the Tacoma PCM, as there is no unused circuit within the PCM which allows for it. There has been talks of using a Tundra computer which utilizes Flex fueling circuitry, as the pins MAY potentially be dead to nuts like the Tacomas but that may take a long time.

The problem is that E85 is not always consistent in is blend, and without that analyzer, you could be using E70 or E90 even and your PCM would still fuel things all the same. Which is not a good thing.

I have a pulley wrap setup as well. Getting mid 8's with 120+ degree intake temps. Was more like mid 9's when it was cooler.

 

I wish I liked that car. But, no.

You could setup the input to log the data. But, you won't be able to use it as a sensor input to the ECU.

 

That sounds about right, in light of (~5K ft) lower elevation and (~40 degree) warmer air.

Dead on IMHO. Toyota needs to stop buying its way into competitor projects when it comes to their performance lineup. Doing so simply adds another badge to a car model instead pushing the industry performance farther with competition. Also why buy that famed and holy Toyota reliability when the car is honesty a BMW.

 

They’re too busy catering to the majority of the market. That’s why you still see stupid ass body kits and useless performance parts on cars like the Camry.

Also the thing that annoys me the most. Why the fuck is there a sport button on everything? My uncles RAV4 most certainly does not need a sport button. A Lexus CT200h also definitely doesn’t need a sport button.

 

Looking fast always, sadly, sells. I mean look at the amount of “performance” parts GM had for the Sunfire lol. I simply wish Toyota would go, on just the performance end, the Ford route and take a flyer on a couple of pet project vehicles of their own.

I poked my head into there and asked a perfectly legit question about towing with that setup. The response was pretty funny. Not a word from Mat. Just some know-it-all blowhard with no real clue about what is going to happen when he tries towing a big trailer up a big hill. I can't wait.
