Console with Temp gauge in a 2014

So, I'm wondering if an overhead console with a temp gauge from an earlier model 2nd gen Taco will fit into a 2014 Taco. I searched for the answer first, but all I saw was all the threads about the mirrors. I like the mirror idea, but I'd prefer the console.

Can it be done? Is the wiring in the headliner compatible? Where is the thermometer located on the grill? If its not there, can it be purchased separately?

Am I crazy, should I just go with a mirror?
