Got any more info on the The FIC (Fuel Injector Clinic) crew GB? Figured TRD should suffice as you said but since its all out why not upgrade then.

In full form if you went new cam shafts, cam gears and FIC setup mentioned this would kick things off in full form? Man this is the black hole I was never looking for but really was.

Welcome to the club! Clear out a space in your garage for you new pile of "Parts not installed yet", and prepare your wallet for those, "I don't really need but totally need parts that are in a group buy so its a great deal I better just get them now."

ha man I just went through a long year of that on suspension components. The full disclosure is I won the supercharger a couple weeks ago so there is some but not much room in the wallet. I need to make room in the already formed pile of shit to be installed. Unexpected change in the trucks direction but one that will hopefully not go too nuts too fast (but who are we kidding)

FIC declined to participate in another group buy. This was disappointing to me since the first one I hosted generated $10,000 in sales for them.

Now that you have the link to the cam gears you cannot run the gears and new cams in conjunction. The gears are currently designed to supplement and get the most burn you can from the current cam lobe profile. The aftermarket camshafts are designed to run a whole new lobe profile while running the non 3 degree retard the exhaust side has.

You have to choose one or the other.

whats everyones take on HP tuners and OV Tune? Saw bunch of you comment on the HP tuner thread but sounds like HP is moving to the for front here. I have the N/A OV tune now which makes me consider going with HP now based on feedback, especially if I get the cam gears, cam shafts and *cough* smaller pulleys out of the gate by time I actually receive the S/C

ah gotcha well good to know.. $1500 for new cam shafts or $150 for cam gears What would make you stick with the cheaper option over the shafts?

Nobody bailed that I know of. We bought about 25 sets of injectors and 23 sets of plug and play harnesses. The original minimum was 10 people and we doubled it. The whole thing went down pretty seamlessly.

    The injectors are here:

Personally, im not comfortable doing valvetrain work on our trucks so it would come down to labor costs.

Much cheaper to have 1 cam gear installed versus shafts and springs.

    Just my two pennies...

Less work of one over the other, as well as overall cost. Lol.

I can't be going buckwild with engine work on my daily driver as much as I'd like to.

yah totally now im rethinking the whole cam shafts. well he has not responded so i can back out have not paid. I like the smaller costs. My brother owns a shop so I will try and barter my way into him helping if I did go that route. I have never touched that stuff myself.

Nice get that bigger injector set. Too bad I bet that was a nice discount they gave you guys. Most people go 650 or the lower version? I assume at some point this will happen. Need more power.

Yeah it's ultimately up to you, but my big engine modding days are behind me as far as talking about same day installs unless the car is a backup, I don't want to get heavily involved in R&R jobs on daily vehicles unless it's broke.

I still say the cam gears will easily get you 15-20HP. Potential of even more may be possible with a smaller pulley but who knows. I have not installed them and it may be a while until I do, or perhaps not, so who knows, when I do though. I'll be reporting back to here.

Sounds good. Without getting too far ahead seems that like is an easier way to go. I do like the sound of cam shafts but what do I know. I do not even have the supercharger yet.

I do need to decide on HP Tuner or keep the OV setup. Seems like HP is gaining the best traction even Magnuson mentioned it.
