To follow up on my message above (post #16 of this thread), attached are a few photos confirming the setup works with a 6MT. All and all I'm happy right now, but may move the camera if I have long term issues with the FOV (field of view) as detailed below.

Location of the camera just below the TSS and behind the grill. I wanted a stealth look as much as possible without damaging the grill.

I took an old pry tool (orange piece), cut it, and used JB weld to fix it to the grill so that the camera sits slightly behind the grill. This has FOV implications as shown in the next picture. I will tap it in with a small screw for added security once I've tested the FOV for awhile.

FOV from the front camera. You can see the view is blocked on the sides and bottom.

Regular view from the back camera.

It helps when parking against something, for lining up a front receiver hitch (if you use one), and as a front view when all you can see is your hood and sky when cresting a steep hill while offroading.

You could also use it to see where you’re driving if you have to duck from bullets while driving the getaway car, while trying to hide from your significant other, and to freak out people into thinking your Taco is actually a self driving truck!:bananadance:

You don't have to run the red wire all the way to the radio unit. there is a small red wire intagrated into the AV cable. Use that wire to power the camera. Splice the red from the AV cable at the camera end into the red wire to the camera.

Thanks for showing how you mounted the camera. I finally ordered one of these packages from Amazon myself and looking forward to installing it. In the summer I pull a boat and have always had problems seeing over the front of the hood when parking so this will work double duty for me. Gotta love this site for sharing of ideas

Only one problem, front camera stutters every now and then or refuses to turn on then somehow seems to heal. Maybe it’s my install or the camera it’s self because the rear works perfect. Happy trails.

Hi. I want to install this in my truck but Amazon and Car Solutions don’t have the RFCC TTG2 kit in stock. Is there any place else that sells these? None on Ebay either.

    Thanks,
    Rob

Amazon and Car Solutions now have them. Ordered mine from Amazon but it will take like a month to get here.
