Y’all need to learn to wait, Mat literally just blew up on all of us for constantly asking the same questions relentlessly only a few days ago

Like everything else. It’s ready when it’s safe and tested. I’m confident in that since that’s the way it’s been since day 1. Grab a beer and chillax.

 

Just stoked to see how my truck drives. The power has been great since ovtune. Just want it to shift like all these 04b04 people. So freaking excited.

Ya I've had tc issues since stock. After numerous trips to the dealer and there runs as designed shit. I found ovtune. And it's been leaps and bounds better. Just the early shift, and the shutter.

 

That’s always the response as well when somebody calls you all out.

You all. Meaning more than one person, typically referring to a large group of people. It’s not specifically you but there’s a lot of people asking “when will this come out” and “did you do this”. Mat blew up on us a few days ago because he got so annoyed at everybody asking which is why he doesn’t have a big presence on the forums currently

 

Here is our process >
our development truck has ECU ID 04B04.
We write out our code on 04B04 > test on our truck
Test 10x more on our truck.
Release privately, 04B04 betas >
ensure no issues, or fix issues that arise from that >
release public version >
consume feedback >
Port development code up to newer ECU IDs > (2018)
Port development code + Throttle bug fixes (upcoming) to 2019s
Port development code backwards to older ECU IDs (04B03, 04B02. Which we highly recommend everyone upgrade to 04B04 if you have those anyway)

When we get our 2020 development truck (for adaptive cruise), then we just port backwards > 2019 > 2018 >
and our 2017 truck to port backwards > 04B04 > 03 > 02

 

I'm confused. Will as in you were doing it then or will as in soon? If the latter, I guess we are waiting for the link to the beta for 18/19?

 

This is the worst part about forums. With more than 48,000 posts in this thread, it really needs a sub catagory.

 

Ok I have a question that will keep this thread on track. After seeing Mat's development cycle, and the note about opening up beta to 2018/2019, am I garaunteed to be on a newer ECU version with a 2019 truck? I thought I remembered reading somewhere that just because a truck was a 201X didnt mean you would get a certain ECU. I've been holding off because I thought I needed to upgrade with tech stream before OVTune. TSB 62-18 I think?
