You'll have to excuse me... I've been overly aggressive today.

 

Paint doesn't adhere well to the chrome cap. The minute you take a socket to the lugnuts, the paint will come off in varying amounts.

 

PSA: The Napier P/N 19044 truck tent doesn't fit well if you have a tonneau on the front 1/3 of the bed



I ended up returning it and ordering a Rightline tent.

 

though what tonneau cover is it?
running a bakflip or ultra flip, would it be better?

Yup. I'm expecting it to. I need to buy black lug nuts. Green was 3 coats self etching primer. 3 coats matte black and 4 coats matte clear on top. I liked how the green looked. It matches my green rifle case.

I have the Extang Solid Fold (v1.0). A Bakflip or Ultra Flex will let the tent sit in the bed better, but the tent will not be able to overhang the front of the bed. In the rain, it will probably let water in between the front of the tent and the tonneau panels folded upright.

We love our Napier, that is the only downside I have found with it. It takes the ENTIRE bed to setup correctly.

Though it is damn well fit, we have slept in it twice in the rain with no problems at all. Once on swisha was a hellva storm.

Went to the dark side... Just bought a 2019 Tacoma TRD Sport DCLB from Heffner.
Went with the auto because I'm keeping my 09 manual Taco for wheeling and winter beater.
The new one will be a total street queen.
