Cleaning the rim hole ? How to:

I'm a clean freak, I admit it.
How are you guys cleaning this freakin hole. I'm currently jammin a twisted up rag in there but it aint gettin it all.

Seriously, though, I use a wet microfiber towel. They are kind of a bitch to clean, but I don't know what else to use.

 

Yeah I feel your pain too, my first time cleaning my truck I told my self that I should have picked the more flat wheels.

I think the rims would look way better without that little piece in there so figure out a way to machine it out if it won't damage the rim and then you won't have to clean it.

 

I clean that spot with a brush made for cleaning wheels I bought at a auto supply store...works great.

 

I knew somebody was going to bring this up one day. I hated those notches in the wheels, so I just brought me some FJ wheels instead. Those are way easier to wipe down, in fact I just sold my set to a guy who owns a 1st gen Tacoma. They like the way it looks on their trucks.

Q-tip is the cheapest way. Corner of a mf towel works too. Use your finger inside the mf and swirl it around in there,

 

I just about fell out of my chair when I read this thread title. ha good one.

 

I have a wheel cleaning brush. The bristles are long and they are soft. I just dip that in my bucket of soap and kinda jam that in there and cleans it out pretty good. I'm a clean freak too. I hate brake dust!

 

I like this brush because the collar holding the bristles is plastic and won't scratch the paint...
