After further research, I'm confident that my 2 kayaks are going to be way more than the OEM rack wants. I'm willing to bend the 100lb. recommended, but hell just one of my yaks is 95lbs stripped. I'm going to let @MatEnginerd have my place at the front of the line.

Ok, I know it carried my one kayak pretty well, but that was just one. You guys just let me know and I will post when I get it removed.

Few random pictures of Last weeks adventures. 4500 mile round trip from Virginia to Colorado to Utah and back home. 9 days of nothing but primitive camping (we made it a goal to only camp at free primitive sites on the drive out/back and while in Colorado and Utah.). Colorado was gorgeous! If you haven’t been there to see it with your own eyes put it on the ol bucket list!! Some of the passes we did still had snow taller then our trucks on the sides...IN AUGUST! Took us 2.5 days to drive out we then Camped for 3 days in CO then headed over to MOAB for 1 night (sadly didn’t hit any trails there due to one of the trucks with me having problems with getting above normal engine temps with slow wheeling and 100+ weather and one truck hit deer on the way to top of the world trial. (Minimal damages but he was bummed and we made a group decision to save Moab for another time). We then headed over to monument valley for 1 night before starting the trek home.

And...... I broke my foot. Left foot, fifth metatarsal to be exact.

For the past 3 or 4 months I've been having this pain in my left foot. It started out fairly mild and I didn't think much of it; old age and all that.
But it gradually started to get worse to the point I was limping half the time.

Last Sunday it was so bad that I told Wifey we would go to Church in separate cars; then afterwards she could go get the groceries and I would go to a Doc-in-a-Box to get the foot looked at.

They did an X-Ray and found a small stress fracture in my fifth metatarsal. Great. Oh well, time to call an orthopedist.

Then Monday I got up to get ready for work and as I stepped out of the shower I put some weight on the foot and suddenly heard it go POP! I could actually hear it go POP! and it was off to the ER.

Another X-Ray and it showed the crack had broken clean through. So now I'm in a Boot for the next 6-8 weeks.

    Chillin' in the ER:

Oh, man. No bueno. Make sure you let that thing heal right.

I took a spill and screwed my ankle up like, 10 years ago. Went to a doc-in-the-box, they took some x-rays and told me it was a severe sprain. Well, I kept living life. Wearing one work boot and one slipper to work because it was so swollen it wouldn't fit in a boot. Hobbling across the job site every morning and getting in my machine, not to get off the rest of the day. Long story short they called me the next week and said they had finally gotten a radiologist to look at the x-ray, and my ankle was in fact fractured and that I needed to come back in. I was pissed and didn't go back. I let it heal on it's own, going to work every day.

It still haunts me to this day. It's super weak, from not healing properly I guess. I can step on a tiny rock the wrong way and my ankle will roll and I'm on the ground looking like an idiot. Which is not super convenient for a construction worker.

Long story short, sorry to hear about your foot. But definitely, do what the Dr. says. At least you'll have plenty of time to spend on TW! Speedy recovery!
