    New frame mod. 265/75/16 Duratracs.
    I have to lol@this thread cause I don't even have an ashtray in my '04. Bought it used with one previous owner that had it re-poed. The previous owner may have removed it because of this problem, would explain it's absence. I've gotten used to the ashtray light shining on the floor with it missing. Maybe one of these days I will get around to scouring some junkyards for a replacement.

    Sorry to bump a couple month old thread but I didn't want to make another one about this issue.

    My 03 Taco didn't do this a few weeks ago and it slowly got worse. Now it opens every few seconds.

    Can I get some pictures of how you guys did it?

    mine will slowly open as i go over bumps to,its kind of annoying but never bothered to fix it just because its a stupid problem to have i guess. maybe ill try the tape thing

    I HAVE A SOLUTION!!!!!!! I'll post a DIY tomorrow with pics! No tape, no bending, nada! Just a super simple fix that only takes a screwdriver :D

    As soon as I get home ill tear down my Tacoma again and get step by step pics. I put it all back together and went out to test it and its so awesome not having it open again. I'm off work at 1 PST and will have stuff up by 2 hopefully. :D
