TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

I dont have it. Have had a 2.5 for quite a long time. Im just saying I dont think it’s required. You should get it though

If you want to run a 2.5, youll want the rip mod for the s/c pulley, shorter belt, and an upgraded tensioner like the roush at a minimum. To make the most of it, a wrap idler would also be a good addition, but not necessary per se

Also you will need to machine/cut the snout down if that wasnt already mentioned

 

Normally, nothing but a shorter belt is required. He wants to run an RPM series belt though and sizing is critical. The pulley wrap mods will absorb the slack of running larger size belts while running pulleys that are in between sizes. So in his case it should be done.

Running an RPM series belt in stock length with a 2.5 pulley is opening the door for potential issues and even snapping of the belt, which would be a really expensive mistake.

did anyone's magnuson charger come with a carb sticker? i will have to call in the morning and see whats up.

 

I had to email to get mine. They just asked for my vin and the bullydog serial number.

 

Shit I need to hit up the Dealer. I never got my Carb sticker with my TRD blower. Smog is up next year

 

No they don't ship with the sticker.

 

did smog laws change in CA? or do ihave to request the sticker?
