What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

At the end of the day I didn’t end up doing anything with it. The whole VT thing threw me for a loop, and resale value is basically nil. It’s a good truck, I’m just not willing to put more money than it’s worth into it.

Yes, he’s a member on here. I’ll let him be known if he wants to be. He frequents this thread I think.

I had my fun with that truck though.

 

Since the Corvette got all the love today, bought the Tacoma some Maxtrax

That's kinda what I was thinking. May order the part just in case it is bad and then replace it or just return it if possible

Clutch master/slave aren't to expensive to replace if they haven't been changed already. Trans jack or modified jack will help, I've only ever done the clutch with the engine out so I don't have much to offer. Bread or wet paper to punch out the old pilot bearing.

 

Wouldn't replace them. You can rebuild the slave and that's the one that tends to go bad.

 

The slave is a $20 part. For some people it's less headache to just replace.

I added a unistrut rail to the inside of the bed and used a couple cone nuts and quick fists to create a sliding shovel mount. Allows me to remove the shovel without having to get into the bed of the truck. Simplifies things with my campershell. It’s not prefect but for my first idea and not finding anything like it I’m kinda proud of myself!

 

Seems pretty easy, I'll look into it and maybe do it later down the road. Or just do it all at once I've got some time to decide
