Am I wrong to think Imogene wasn't that bad? Like, in the terms that I'm not sure how these people got off the shelf?

I agree that Imogene is not that bad. The article states the man and woman are 72 years old. My guess at the cause is the driver had a sudden health issue.

It's not. My best guess is that speed was a factor.

Heading out to Kingston Peak Monday with my brother, brother in law, and their wives. I finally talked my wife into joining me on her first off road excursion. @johntoyota you will be happy to hear that I WILL be airing down to 18psi for her comfort.

Anyone seeing the reports of Poughkeepsie being closed indefinitely because of locks being cut?

15 will probably be more comfortable. Maybe you're on softer tires but I hated going over rocks and such at 17psi. The truck pitches left and right way to much for my liking. 13psi seems to be the sweet spot for my tires.

If you've got time, you should try to hike James peak. I think it's less than a mile and a half each way and a great view of the lakes from up there.

Morning folks, would anyone know of an easy-moderate trail that is within a 1 hour drive of Denver that has a ghost town? We have some friends visiting and was thinking this might be a cool thing to do.

Nevadaville outside of Central City. There are a lot of cemeteries along the route, too. It's a dirt road for the most part, super easy.

@Littles Hey what was that trail run you lead last year by Rollinsville with the "caved in/ sunken" in mine works? That had a few old buildings too.

I love that area...there's so many small little mining communities that used to exist in that network of trails. I'm not sure if that caved in section is part of the Tip Top mine, or Golden Cycle mine, but it is on Jenny Lind - Perigo trail just off off Gamble Gulch/Missouri Gulch road, south of Rollinsville. IIRC, we ran the a loop starting from Pickle Gulch around Dakota hill before winding up back there.

    https://lifedeathiron.com/2016/10/1...-the-tax-bill-came-it-was-paid-with-dynamite/

Here's some of the history on Perigo that sparked my interest in the area. The guy who bought it gave a big F-you to Gilpin county when he bought it and they demanded he pay property taxes on each and every dilapidated structure, so he filled the buildings with dynamite and blew up the town. No buildings = no taxes.

Gamble Gulch road is a 1-2 rated graded dirt road. some of the other trails range to like a 3-4 difficulty but nothing too sketchy.
