Anyone do mechanic work on the side?

I have a new pinion seal, u joints, and carrier bearing, shocks, and swaybar links for my truck and after looking at the parts on the shelf for the last month I'm not feeling up to it.

Well I’ve had an Astro/ATC for 20 years and it’s served me well but the door design doesn’t lend itself to keeping water/dust out very well in the corners. Not to mention I’d have to reinforce the fiberglass if I ever wanted to mount load bars up there. Which a canoe is going to need.

Plus I like how the snug top forms over the bed rail to keep water out.

I don’t know. If I can find a decent one cheap on Craigslist but Finding a color match one is going to be difficult

My great uncle was a hoarder and passed away a few years ago. I helped the family (multiple trips out to Phoenix in 110 degree heat) to carry engine blocks, distributors, dashes, carpets, seats, everything out of the basement, barn, house... That photo is no joke. Don't get that deep into hoarding parts.

None of the other brands look #EAF with the roof tubes that the Snugtop has.

Use the stock bottle jack to press them out. It should fit inside the arm to push them out.

That's what I did for my E30 trailing arm bushings. Dunno if that setup would be strong enough for Tacoma LCA bushings, though...

This is what I did. Add some heat with a propane torch and they pop right out.

Maybe I'm being paranoid but ...

I guess I'll just tear into the job and if my truck isn't drivable for next weekend then so be it.
