I give up trying to verify what bearing fits my truck and am looking for the correct Spicer part number and am coming up with conflicting info.

The 5002007 is the one that comes up but it has tabs sticking up on it, (at least in the pictures) and mine does not

I've read the 5002334 fits but my 2015 is not on the list for that bearing

    So which one is it?

Could always just "use" the dealership. When I've run into part# problems before, I have gone to the dealership and got a free estimate to do the job. It lists the part numbers :) just tell them thanks, I'll think about it... You now have your parts list... just an idea :)

This is the Toyota part number for the driveshaft carrier bearing for your truck: 37230-0K040

Send @gunny1005 a PM for a preferred TW price as Camelback Toyota is a vendor on TacomaWorld.

If you don't want to get an OEM bearing, read through this thread:

Thanks for the info guys and I may go with the OEM but also want to know if anyone knows the difference between the two Spicer bearings before I do. I believe one of those is the same as OEM and is half the price.

    Spicer says:
“Based on Toyota part number given of 37230-0K040 = interchanges to 5002334 , so it will be the correct center bearing”.

With @MolonLabeTaco's information below, I'd go with whichever is cheaper. Did yours go south?

Good information. Added to my own notes.

Yea it did or at least the rubber gave out but the bearing spins smooth by hand. I have 75k on it with a mild lift and the common shutter when taking off at around 10mph. I've check my driveshaft angles and have changed that at least 10 times with no luck and no matter what I did the shutter stayed the same, it never got better or worse so I figure I'm looking in the wrong place. I put a string on the driveshaft at the zerks and the middle is off set about 1/8 inch or more and I have no room to adjust it side to side. There is also visual sag in the rubber so I'm actually really hoping this will do it. I want the Spicer because its cheaper and apparently the same as OEM but there is confusion as to which one is correct. 5002334 looks correct in the pictures but drivetrain america comes up with 5002007 based off my vin number. I'm really hoping my driveshaft alignment is off because of the center bearing rubber and not because I put on Icon leafs that may have somehow F'd up my rear axle alignment but on the other hand I had it aligned after and everything came out perfect and also drives perfectly straight so maybe not.

    Appears...

    ...334 2WD
    ...007 4WD

Honestly, it doesn't appear that it matters a whole lot which you use. I don't see a lot of difference.

If your lifted a good amount it will fail again in a few years.

Just make sure you press it on strait and in the correct direction, meaning not backwards.

And when you reinstall the driveshaft, leave the bolts on the center bearing fairly loose. Then lower the truck to the ground. Let it settle then tighten it up. Drive it a while, coming home, park it, get under it and make sure the rubber isn't being pulled forward or backwards when at rest, if it is being pulled, adjust.

Sounds good and looks like the 007 is my bearing, just don't get what the tabs sticking up on it is about. If all I have to do is swap this out every couple years then no big deal, this is literally the only thing that has given me any headaches in over 75k and its something I partially brought on myself.

Lol, do tell... What did you do to the driveline to 'partially bring this on" yourself. Not ribbing on you at all, everyone tries stuff, sometimes works out great! Sometimes, not so much... :) done it myself several times on mine, just curious :)

    Edit...

Have you ever swapped a carrier bearing on these trucks before? It's a PITA, doing every few years sucks balls! :)

The little tab things, my guess is a year these were used on a 1s1st gen Tacoma or a Tundra they had tabs, so to make a generic bearing they put tabs, if you don't need them, cut them off. Otherwise, honestly, I don't know...

The only difference between 5002334 and 5002007 is the bracket width so it seems like either one would work IMO as long as the mounting holes are centered in the bracket from front to back.

@Mavrick So which one did you end up ordering? Spicer P/N 5002334 or 5002007? If you ended up ordering the 2007 one (which is supposed to have dust seals for the 4x4 trucks) did it have the metal tabs on it? And how wide was the mounting bracket? I've been reading a lot about this the past few days cause I think I'm in the same boat you were in..

One guy said the picture that all the online retailers use for 2007 might just be a stock photo (which makes sense) and might not actually have the tabs in real life.

Bracket width and, from what I can tell, 5002007 is supposed to have dust seals for the 4x4 model trucks.

To make this way more confusing, my truck (a 4WD) has the 2.3 inch wide bracket. That corresponds to the 5002334 P/N in your picture, which corresponds to the 2WD trucks :der:

also very possibly that the rubber durometer of 2wd is softer due to 2wd not having a slip joint after the CB.

Welp Im super impatient.. Just ordered 5002007 from Drivetrain America. Should be here next week. I will come back and update with pics / measurements when it gets delivered.

Im starting to wonder if Spicer's data sheets have these two P/Ns swapped as far as dimensions go

So is the 2007 the correct one for a 4WD 2014 tacoma ?!

Been reading you can use 2334, but don’t wanna order it & have it not fit

I ordered the Spicer 5002007 for mine. Came in a box with a Spicer label. Pics is a little out of focus, but you can read Toyota and the part number on it. Matched what came from the factory.
