    Hey Brothers are sister's!
Titled it that as my Taco certainly doesn't jump up and slap you in the face like so many others but for 3 years old and 3,000 miles when I bought it, I was more than happy.
Sidenote: when I lived in the mountains of Honduras, 9 out of 10 rides were Tacos

What's the one (first) accessory you would put on/ modify ?

Here is the best advice I can offer you:

    1. Put your wallet into a small Ziplock bag.
    2. Fill a large Ziplock bag full of water.
    3. Put the small Ziplock bag into the large Ziplock bag.
    4. Put the large Ziplock bag into the freezer.

Now it'll be such a pain in the ass to get at your money and credit cards that I've saved you the thousands of dollars you'll spend on mods.

tires, gas, oil, and drive the hell out of it. That is the first mod. After that, maybe steps and if you drive more highway, go with creature comforts.

When I was young, dual cabbies were so rare, they were remarkable. NOW we are the jackals who bought "Access Cabs"?

Mods should be based on need.

Honestly, things like tire repair kits, tools and items that fit your overall life style would be my first suggestion. If you go asking Tacoma world what YOU need, you're gonna end up with a lot of crap you don't need. Second post here was grill lights....cmon now.

Welcome and congrats. Bed mat would be my first buy and then all weather mats, but it really depends on how you use your truck.

    Chavito,

Another easy, fairly inexpensive, but very useful mod would be to replace your outside rear view mirrors with a set of Rav 4 mirrors which have built-in convex blind spot mirrors.

Total cost about $100 and anyone can install them in just a few minutes. They completely eliminated my blind spots.

    Here's a link:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2016-rav4-convex-mirrors.468473/

They look OEM. To look at them you'd swear that the truck came from the factory this way.

A cover for the steering wheel that makes it easier to grip.

Note that the wheel size is a step larger than the size that fits most cars.

Your truck is too new. The cover will break in and be very easy to grip, it's just slippery at first. Keep using it.

One of them might have been mine. Several years ago in Miami when I reported it stolen, the cop told me it was probably already loaded on a ship.
