Yup exactly what I'm going to do. I'm going to have them wrapped in light smoke film. It's hardly noticable (mine are all blacked out) plus its nice and thick to protect the lenses from rocks and sun

Cut some pieces of aluminum to reinforce the traction board brackets for my KBVooDoo bedrack. Wasn't happy with how they wiggled a bit a figured putting a backing plate would strengthen it. After that, mounted the boards. Also made and mounted my shovel underneath my bed cover for an upcoming trip.

Not a Tacoma, was working on my wife’s yellow oxidized lights on her FX35. Opened them up, painted the bezels and added blue demon eyes.

I may not know a lot about these trucks, but I know enough to say, that is definitely of concern and should be addressed in short order!
Others can probably provide more input as to what may have caused that kind of damage/failure, but as an engineer I would not recommend cycling that suspension as you're only going to cause more damage and may do significant damage to other linkages in the process.

I just bought it in June and it had the 2nd gen OR 16" rims on it. Coming from the dealer it had some "stock" 255/70/R16 LT tires with what looked like significant dry rot around the inner sidewall. (1st picture, don't mind the deer damage) I checked them out and they were 7 year old tires on a 4 year old truck (thanks stealership)...the spare was 8 years old and so I swapped them all to the AT 265/75/16s (2nd picture)

Yeah, I missed that one and I was PISSED LOL! This time I wasn't gunna let that happen, I kept making reminders to check mileage "Hey Google, remind me tomorrow to check my mileage" and then when I was like 20 miles away and I knew I was gunna hit it on my way home....."Hey Google, remind me in five minutes to check my mileage" I did that 3 times  but hey, I didn't miss it this time :D

Because you give their app permission to track every single thing you do. Track your location and track when you use your phone. The last time my insurance guy was out I told him he could take that app and go fly a kite. hahahaha

Looking good! Nice and clean build!

I decided to upgrade my front speakers after reading some posts on the Subaru tweeter upgrade and @boogie3478 video on upgrading his speakers. Link to his video:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHJ95TTmFk8

(Thanks boogie3478 BTW for this and your video on the HU software update)

    I went with the following:
    Lower Speaker (6.5" 3 way): https://www.crutchfield.com/p_575R165X3/Rockford-Fosgate-R165X3.html
    Tweeter: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_575R1TS/Rockford-Fosgate-R1T-S.html

I also have the Sound Ordinance B-8PTD powered sub under my seat, so I wasn't concerned with lack of bass. I also still have the stock headunit, which I'm not sure if I'll upgrade yet.

I must say, the speakers made a noticeable difference. Wow. I installed the passenger side speakers first, then played music to test right after. I could barely hear the driver side speakers and it sounded like sound was mostly coming from the new speakers at the passenger side.

Install was easy, but needed to custom mount the tweeters and use some glue with the Crutchfield brackets that they provided. I also needed to cut and splice in the tweeters. This was easier than I thought, but if I had to give two pieces of advice it would be:
    - The tweeter + and - wires are black and red, respectively. Which is opposite from typical colors. Check out this thread for more clarity on the wires involved and color: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/tweeter-wiring-colors-on-my-2nd-gen.422730/
    Thanks @nd4spdbh and @Jimmyh .

    - Above the harness clip for the tweeter, cut back the black plastic protective sheathing on the factory tweeter wires until the four (4) wires (2 positive and 2 negative) are spliced into 2 wires. Cut those wires then splice into the tweeter wires. It's what I did and just wanted to mention to save a step in having to mess with 4 wires. Toyota already spliced them for you.

Anyway, I'm probably going to replace my rear speakers now (didn't initially because my seats are down 99% of the time in the back and block the speakers) and upgrade my sub to a 10" with custom enclosure behind my rear driver side seat. I'm really doing this all backwards it seems since the HU perhaps should've been replaced first.
