Zerk help !

Changed oil and greased the drive shaft zerks - well tried to any way. Back is easy - they are completely exposed. The front ones are a PITA - they are hidden inside the U. I finally got them but it took a few tries and a few different guns to do it. Does any one have any tricks to make it easier ? If I should post this somewhere else on TW just tell me where. Thanks for any help.

 

I found that if you move the vehicle just a little bit you can get on all of them. Trial and error, but you can do it with a regular grease gun with a flex shaft on it.

 

do you have a u-joint adapter for your grease gun?

 

x2...might have to rotate the driveshaft to get to it. Also, I have one of those smaller "gun" type grease guns and I don't have any problems.

 

You have to move it to do the rear ones but they are no problem as they are completely exposed. They front ones are the problem because they are inside the U. They shaft can be turned easily by hand if you put it in neutral. Thanks.

 

Probably not. Can you post a link or a picture. I'll get one. I use an regular gun with a flexible hose and I finally got it with a small hand gun. I'd really like to get a u-joint adapter if that will help. Thanks.

The front is hard and I found that by removing one of the heat shields it gave me a lot more room.
