    Working on them
    I have seen a couple done one was a 2016 and other an 2018 and both love them but had a negative comments about the parking brakes kinda suck after doing because the surface contact area is greatly reduced and when wet they hardly work. <----those are comments from the two guys that did theirs not my opinion because I have not done it but been researching it Also other comments were that the pads do not last as long as the drum shoes.

    Drums are more efficient then disc on the rear that’s why they are there... unless you plan on running Daytona. Better to put your money up front.

    My wife's new 4Runner has rear disks but the Taco's brakes stop better. I'd spend money on something else.

    Drums have a larger brake surface area which have more initial bite. They are not more efficient in terms of braking efficiency because they do not dissipate heat nearly as fast and fade exponentially faster.

    The stock drums are completely adequate and work quite well for a stock vehicle. Adding additional daily payload such as armor (bumpers, sliders, skids, etc), bed racks, campers or roof top tents, gear, etc. and it’s really easy to smoke the drums. At the end of the day it depends on payload and driving circumstances.

    I don’t have a problem with the braking so far. Drums just seam so old school is all.

    They're old school in the sense that the Tacoma is about the only new vehicle on the road still using them. Even even the cheapest econoboxes are almost all four wheel disc.
