Spending all day in the basement of a slaughterhouse makes you smell like a special kind of funk.

 

Everyone at work thinks I'm an asshole because I'm honest, especially the CEO. I know I do my job well, so I don't need to justify it to anyone. The rest of the place is the opposite.

 

Assholes tend to do that.

Every other dealership is an ass hat. Just take it to one that will agree with you and do the service. No sense in wasting your time getting into a pissing match with them.

Just ask over there for 2018 results. Make sure if you get it done they add the white label to the engine bay filled out they did the work. That way you can at least say they acknowledged it and attempted a fix, even though it will likely relearn and go back. Just to make the second, third, or fourth trip easier.

If you want, you can also add a tuner to your truck sold on here called the OV (Orange Virus) Tune. It's not cheap but from what I read and hear from people that pony up for it they are completely satisfied with the results.

For you to do this yourself you would not only need the cable, you would need to hack the ECU and that is not advised even by the guys on here that have done it. Most of them were successful, a couple were not.

Hmm. I spotted a guy this afternoon in Doylestown installing bolt on rock Slidders on a 3rd gen tacoma MGM. Red tacoma letters on tailgate.

Started working for IBM right out of high school. Got a package and never looked back.

 

I was all set to semi retire @45 which means I could have been real picky on the jobs I would bid on.

Being that was 1999 the now Ex-wife ran off with most of the money and her girl friend.

 

I have 7 years to retirement. I can’t wait to get OUT and away from the carpenters union!! I’ll probably keep working, flipping houses or something. This union mentality will put this country in the toilet.

 

Agreed on the union mentality. I'm in the transportation workers union. It's a joke.

I'm hoping to be retired from this job in 5 years, but the benefits are great. I'd rather be flipping houses and holding rentals. I won't be "retired" but I'd be doing something I love.
