I am looking into dry ice blasting since this attempted sand glass bead blasting is very messy after two days of trial and a little dangerous for what i must do.

are there any places you know of in the area that can rent an ice blasting machine?

3rd gens might be getting it too from what I've read

 

pretty soon Toyota will need to get into the political arena

 

They will all get it in the effected states. It’s less expensive to just do it like this than to change frame production process.

 

That means removing all of the goodies .... Oof

 

what would be proper frame production process in your view

 

Boxing everything with no forward facing holes. Costs too much to do that and most states don’t use salt or brine. Just fix the ones that belong to the complaining parties.

 

And be the first modern era manufacturer to effing hot dip them!!! That would be a mega win.

 

i came across something on an FJ forum the other day where they were hot dip galvanizing with the zinc stuff

and using the military as an example, don't know much more than that, need more research onit!

I'll be doing it in my garage once I get it reorganized because it'll probably take me a few days to do it. I'm not gonna rush because I have a second vehicle so I can take my time

That's what I'm gonna be checking for. I know I have rust flakes in the channel of the frame near the tcase so I'm gonna go through the frame when I get off work today
