And I'll provide what happens when installed correctly along with incorrectly. This should explain to you how you're being blinded. But ignore the proof if you'd like. :lalala:

Your first pic the one “correctly” installed shows the hot spot dripping down and not towards the cut off how it’s supposed to be.
Numbers don’t lie my friend. Have a good evening.

I think your iPhone screen is throwing off what you're actually seeing. Or you've eaten too many crayons. Before you flex, I'm prior service as well and I'm allowed to give you shit.:p
Again, I don't have any of the above mentioned LED's installed in my truck. Those numbers don't reflect what I have installed.

Perhaps the science doesn't factor in the human element. Not every person's eyes and mind are gonna perceive things exactly the same.

I've read that thread and all over the interwebs how LED's are just plain bad in projectors. I've also seen pictures and videos of these newer LED's that look great in projectors. It would be interesting to see him (light engineer) do some tests with newer LED's.

I agree, would love to see testing with newer LED’s as well. The USA made Diode Dynamic LED’s have gotten rave reviews.

It's already been done gents, back in June - post #1285: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...logen-h11-projector-headlights.589465/page-65

TLDR - Some improvements over others, but still falls short of halogens. There's also this final note to consider overall: "5) While Diode Dynamics lists output as 'Street Legal', replacement LEDs are not yet legal, meaning they are federally illegal and will cause your vehicle to fail inspection in states that perform them."

Thanks. Didn't realize that he just tested those in June. Definitely an improvement but still has the drop off after 31ft. Maybe not a big deal for the ones currently running DD? Light discussion is exhausting lol.

    Sure thing dude.

IMO 'drop in' LEDs are no bueno - just crank up the output with higher performing halogens or do a retrofit. I chose the latter with HIDs and have been very pleased. Alternatively, wait for some good OEM LED options, if LED is your thing.

Technically converting from halogen to HID is illegal as well. But it's more of a rubber law, piss the cop off if you're pulled over and they'll dig for other things to smack you with.

Just put LED lighting inside tha cab and tag lights
VLEDS has some awesome lights. Might wanna give them a looking at. I've done all my lights through them on my 19 SR5. Kinda high on the price but definitely worth it!

I believe they are...I just didnt want to spend that kind of money. For $100 less I honestly am happy with the beamtechs. Been running them for 6 months.

there are you tube vids also showing the lights.

I think most are replicas and probably built by the same manufacturer
