I'm having an issue with moisture under my passenger side floor mat. I have a '19 Tacoma limited and it has the OEM rubber floor mats. I lifted the mat today to clean a bit and the carpet underneath was wet. Haven't spilled anything in there yet and no one has sat in my passenger seat for weeks. Anyone else experience this? Possibly from AC, not sure if it's a constant thing yet but I'm going to watch it and see if it continues. Obvious concern is mold and eventually rotting floorboard.

Just curious if anyone has had this.

I would check your drain valve for your AC and make sure it's not plugged

Good call. I just checked it and it's clear. I have a puddle under the truck directly below that hose too so I know it drips. Also pulled it back into the cab and physically blew into it with my mouth and it's clear. Nother around the hose in the car is wet either.

Maybe condensation from the foot vent blowing on the top of the mat and the heat from the exhaust underneath. The rubber mat acting essential like a vapor barrier trapping it??

Hmm that's odd, have you gotten a lot of rain? Maybe the sunroof drain line isn't all the way through the exit port or a hole in the tube? Have you had your windshield replaced?

Car wash, rain, possible leak around the A pillar or cowl. If not under warranty you can trouble shoot it with a friend by lifting up the carpet and looking for any water trail. Then with a flash light and you inside watching the kick pillar and cowl have your friend start at the pass door and slowly work the water hose around the front door gap and upper fender by the windshield pillar. It sometimes takes a while to get them to leak. Also how do you park your truck, uphill down hill or leaning If you see engine coolant then its the heater core. Good luck. Dry out the carpet before mold starts growing

No rain the past few days and no windshield replacement.

Where is the sunroof drain tube located?

Check the rear carpet and floor pans also. might be water coming in from the third brake light. Long shot doesn't hurt to check
That is a know issue with our trucks

I'll do some testing in those areas once it's dried out. Truck is garage at night and parked in a flat lot during the day. It's definitely water tho, no smell or odd feeling.

    Thanks for the input guys

Back seat and driver's seat all dry. It's isolated to the passenger side only.

I've experienced that condition as a result of a leaking heater core in the past.

You would smell antifreeze if that were the case.

Depending on how bad the leak. They typically start as a slight seepage then gradually get worst. Often, the windshield will eventually start to fog up.

Windshield. Mine leaked too at first I pulled my headliner and resealed it after the dealer kept giving me the run around.

Were you able to locate the exact leak location on the windshield on yours?

Yes, get this every day.. Run the AC on low with windows open on recirculate. My problem is with humid outside air hitting the air conditioning system behind the front passenger wheel well and condensing on the carpet and floor mat. Dealer could not replicate problem, guess I should not run AC in the tropics with windows down. With that said, I insulated in cabin drain hose and have begun applying “flexiseal” to condensing/cold passenger vent. Checked after running AC and drip location confirmed. Truck is at the dealer for fuel pump issues.. Plan to insulate it more when I get it back. Anyone knowing better on how to fix condensation? Please chime in!

I had this happen while running the a/c on fresh air while going through the car wash, I haven't had it happen since I stopped running the a/c while going through the car wash.

If you put two drops of antifreeze inside my truck I would probably smell it. And his whole floor was wet.
