I have a 2013 TRD sport and what i liked over the OR is the package, its got color matched bumpers, instead of ugly plastic ones that fade and look like shit, and also the super awesome scoop that gives 50 rwhp (I know its a non functioning one, but looks cool to me)

The sport just looks a lot better than the off road. It’ll do everything 99 percent of people need it to. No way I was gonna pay 35k for a cheap looking trucK.

The off-road is a better deal with the extras it comes with. They are worthless if you don’t use them though.

I fish and hunt with my truck and my Atv goes where it can’t.

I know looks are just an opinion so relax.

Not sure where you got that. Pulling cooler air into the intake or pushing air back out the top when you have a front mount intercooler like an EVO, or in the case of top mounted intercoolers like the WRX/STi, you are pulling air through the intercooler. Some scoops are absolutely functional.

You can get that same cool air without a hood scoop.

Look, I’m talking about a naturally aspirated Tacoma, not a WRX with twin turbo. You get the same air through the grill that you get through the scoop. How that air is delivered to the throttle body is inconsequential. The scoop doesn’t add any performance, just looks like it does.

I agree. If the Tacoma scoop was actually through the hood, it would still realistically be non-functional. It looks ok, but I am not a fan in general of non-functional scoops or fake vents. To each their own.

You can always trade it for a non scoop hood and get some cash too. Lots of people are looking for them.

The only glare I get is from a dude as his lady admires my scoop.
