Thought it would be cool to put a light bar inside of the hood scoop (since it has no other function other than looks). Bought a 17 inch single stack led bar and dropped it right in. The light bar fits just about perfectly, but I Used some doublesided 3M tape for some peace of mind. Put some foam in the small space so on both sides of the bar as well to make sure nothing moved around. Wiring came with a remote option so I went that route rather than worrying about installing a switch.Super happy with how it came out. Well worth the 44$.

    Here are some pics: Thoughts??

Not bad for he price! I’d keep an eye on it for moisture though. I have 7 lightbars facing forward (all Rigid). I managed to buy almost all of them used off of Kijiji to save money. Going for my 8th soon, mounted on a Prinsu (40” Rigid). Was thinking of going for a cheaper brand but want them still to be working 10 years from now. I really need to do a build page one of these days.....

Yeah that output pictures is with only the led bar on. I was pleasantly surprised on how much output it gives.

Someone in Columbus has this. It's interesting. If it was red and moved end to end it would be amazing.

How do you keep water from entering the engine compartment?

Did you "aim" it at all, or just lay it in flat?

Any pics of how you mounted it? Did it require you to modify anything on the truck? Thanks!

Any single stack 17 inch bar will just drop right in. Water does not get in because you still use the stock piece of plastic in the scoop. Take the scoop off (4 volts) then the black plastic comes off of the scoop (I believe it was 4 screws) and then boom it’s opened up. Didn’t aim it or anything literally used double sided tape for a more secure hold and just dropped put it right in the scoop. Then put the 4 screw so back on which connect with the plastic to the scoop, and the 4 bolts to put the scoop back on the hood. Like I said I wired it to a remote so I didn’t do any drilling. At this point tuck the wires to your liking and all set.

Can’t remembwr the exact one I ordered but it was about 44$ on Amazon and one of the only ones that gave a remote option with the wiring. Poke around on amazon and you’ll find it.
