Did that engine come off of a turbo'd Subi? If so, with a factory snail, they are running around 17-19 psi.

Larger one should easily be good for 10-12 psi, depending on flow. However, it is an eBay snail, but it likely won't be balanced all too precisely. That might mean 7 psi is a good place to keep it, to prevent catastrophic party foul. Lol.

I recommend disassembling it to make sure there are no shavings in the assembly. @RedLantern did, and found shavings in his.

Actually didn't have any to begin with haha... That is like some sch 40 al pipe he had laying around and its actually a little small (like 2.5 and it should be 2.75) if you zoom in there are two couplers on the IC so it fits haha

So I have an evap code... Is this the new prime suspect on my jank fuel trims? Also I haven't been able to fill my tank completely up without a little spillage... Could a new evap vent fix that? Like it had a bad o ring or somethin?

Could be the charcoal canister at the gas tank. What was the code?

I am also thinking this is due to your charcoal canister. Do you frequently top off your tank after the pump stops on it's own?

Never... But it has overran since I swapped fuel pumps so I assume I screwed something up taking it apart or putting it back together

I just keep up with my mileage and put a little less than full when I get fuel to keep it from running over

I would start by checking all the connections on the filler neck, and the outside of the tank and make sure you dont have a loose connection somewhere that could show up as a leak in the system when it run's it's check.
Hmm after doing some more reading, seems maybe it's related to the VSV? https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/code-p0441.86072/

Vacuum switching valve.. i think it's somewhere in this area.. pretty sure that tube coming out of the little cylindrical canister feeds into the vsv

Ok that's what I found when I looked for the evap canister so maybe that will clear everything up... After I get back from my cruise

    A thing or two...
This question always makes me laugh. I've topped off every tank in every vehicle I've driven since I started driving and never had a problem, but somehow the internet has convinced everyone that topping off is going to magically kill your car.

Lol im not entirely convinced, but having to remove the bed to be able to replace that stupid canister is enough to remind me not to top off. Its always in the back of my mind.. i totally get what youre saying though

This is not gonna fix my overflow issue though... I guess I need to get under there and check all my connections again

May be a dumb question. But could I plug/cap that stuff to see if that is in fact what is screwing with my fuel trims?
