Thought I'd throw something together for 2nd gen (and 3rd Gen Access Cabs) owners who purchased a MESO 3rd brake light housing. Please add more to this thread and I'll throw those links or posts to them in this initial post to keep info at the top of the thread.

Browsing through the still-growing thread here is a ton of useful info scattered all over the place:

Link to @MESO Customs 3rd brake light housings group buy thread is here:

@StOrMyThEtAcO had the first 2nd Gen unit for R&D (4 Baja Designs) - I noticed he didn't use his OEM chrome housing:

@74cam (4 BD lights) has been a huge help for me understanding how this will go down. For the 2nd gen and 3rd gen Access Cab you can keep the factory OEM chrome housing in place. However when prying your red lense off of the truck, you might damage your gasket.
    Behold: $11 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GKK8R3C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

In this link to a post by @74cam you'll see that he did a pretty simple method in using a MESO (don't get caught up on these special plugs, they're discontinued) plug that he simply uses with his stock bulb socket which is a 168 bulb according to Sylvania. Also interchangeable with 168 size is 194... which also fits with a T10.

Here's a T10 adapter that will do the same thing as the MESO discontinued piece that @74cam uses:

The KC Cyclones don't come with a cool looking plug for the middle, so you'll need the following cap
3/4" Hole Cap from Lowe's or anywhere that has Hillman products: (thank you @2d Dragoon for the correction!)

For wiring, if you'd like to create a new connection, here is a link to a site with all kinds of connectors:

Also wiring, you can use this 3-pin Delphi ($10):

@JdevTac KC 4 (2 yellow, 2 red) used OEM connector and repinned:

@JdevTac also shared this useful link for dropping your headliner:

@LamzTaco has KC 4 (2 white, 2 red) talks about the KC logo being right side up on the KC lens:

@elaudtr (3rd Gen) wired in a Diode Dynamics PWM inline with an extra wire connected to the fuse panel triggering the running lights when his headlights are on:

I’ll add more when I get my order, throw in some pics of my own. I ordered a PWM But I’m not looking forward to dropping the headliner to run the extra wire to my lights. Currently I have one of those flashers on my third brake light but if I’m flashing KCs back at cars, not sure the police will be happy. So we’ll see, I have 4 red and 2 white KCs right now - planning to run 2 middle as white for bed lights but not sure. That’ll definitely involve dropping the head liner.
