Got a full size spare tire, then took her for a spin.

I hear you on the cost - but I ran a fiberglass shell RTT for a few years and the Alucab is bomb proof... Worth the extra $$$ IMO

Added @AJT DESIGN vent covers. The one to the right of the steering wheel has a small gap but no others. Some have had a couple gaps. I’m willing to bet I can get it to fit snug with the heat gun on low though. I in no way consider it a design flaw, more of a slight variation in vehicle manufacturing. Overall it’s a great little mod!

looks good, did you remove them? I had planned painting mine with spray on bedliner but then plastidipped them first to see if I'd be happy with the look.

Nice! I was thinking about the red up front but my OCD having red up front with black drums overruled.

Just back from shake-down jaunt to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and East Mesa of Zion. We’ve added a Rightline Truck tent. The recommended size tent felt too tight, so we bought the next larger size. It goes over bed better and it is easier to put up. The drawback is the door sags a little over the tailgate.

We built a simple platform above the wheel wells and added a four inch foam mattress topper. It is pretty comfortable. The storage is six boxes from Walmart, of which two are under bed rollers. We reach the rollers with the pry bar you can see in the picture. Since the Yeti tundra wouldn’t fit under the tonneau, we put that on one of the back seats.

We use a Tyger Tonneau cover which is quick to remove when we put up the tent. It stayed dry driving from New Jersey to Nevada.

Since the tailgate is a big step, we put on an OEM bed step. That was pretty easy and helps with bed access.DEFD6C93-3ABF-4395-AFA7-EEC46ADA902C.jpgB6798373-430A-4C6B-B0C9-861B33E7B91B.jpg CA482AD5-B6B1-4988-8670-D868A421174B.jpg

Finally pulled the trigger on a pro grill and could not be happier. Shout out to taco garage for an awesome product and professional packaging. Zero issues with sensor and no codes. Highly recommend this product.
