Finished the inner and outer tierods and got it aligned. Now all it needs is tires and it’ll be good for awhile.

Started to refinish my 15’s, what color should I paint them? Steering away from black and toward a gun metal or something

That’s pretty much what I plan on doing, just seeing if anyone else had any ideas.

Did some plain stock OEM wheels in dark gunmetal using the Duplicolor system.

If you can slowly bake/heat each wheel before installing or running, it helps makes them chip resistant. The heat from the disc brakes cured and hardened the front wheels faster than the rear. So we picked up some chips on the rear before they got to the same level of curing as the front.

    I have mods
Off the truck (and the weight). Only exposed bolts heads are the front 5 which should be pretty much safe anyway.

i meant what are the benefits of using the Limited 4Runner climate control that seems to be flaky from what I read? I fully understand the benefits and need to move the double din up and angled.

Nothing at all. It looks cool, and that’s about it. The standard HVAC panel is much more reliable.

I need to order a full set of these for my DC. Do you know where the best price is? Or have part numbers on hand? I’m currently repainting mine and am soooo behind ordering new rubber and other various odds and ends.

Wonder if there is a full weatherstripping kit online to replace all of my rubbber?

I’ve been wanting this ever since I rented a Ram Bighorn with CarPlay. I’m not crazy about the shape and color of the custom surround but it’s better than nothing.

    Today was Taco day!
Installed my back up camera under tailgate handle
Installed new used steering wheel got the cruise control stalk to work so I removed the old one that was stuck in the side of the steering column cover. And I used the up down buttons on he steering wheel to control my power windows.
    New shifter boot and knob
New center console and made a matching cover with shifter boot material
Had fun today more Taco Days to come!

I put in a 170 stat from advanced auto parts for 15.00 and the engine stays at about 175 -180 degrees with my custom radiator.

I've done mine by feel. Lift the front in the air an tighten it until you can't feel the play any more. Then check if your steering wheel is still free feeling. If it's tight back it off a smidge.

If you have an older rack with the protruding nut it has a roller instead of a bushing. The process above may not work as well. I believe you can retro it to the bushing style though. @dirtypool has an excellent right up somewhere on here about the differences.

Anything bends when playing with boulders. Proper gussetting would help more than thicker plate IMO.

Get a tape measure and measure from the same lugs on the front of the tires. Then do the same on the back of the tires. Determine which way your tires need to move and adjust. You should be able to get it close enough.

Thanks for the info, I got an alignment later that day, the drive there just wasn’t fine, 10-15 mph the whole way there haha.

Now I just need to figure out why my mpg’s Have went into the gutter since March.
